Hi all, I've mainly been playing crysis on my laptop however when I overclock my gpu to the settings on my profile the game seems to malfunction every 5 minutes or so. The GPU temps get up to a max of 78 degrees and works fine for other games like GTA IV....any ideas???

one over clock is not always best for all games.
and when you over clock in crysis...your only gaining about 5 fps on high 1 to 3 frames on very high.
it's really not worth it. run the game in say 1680x1050 at all medium or even 1920x1200 if you have that screen res. and then check your fps. see if they pick up and if you can play longer than 5 minutes.

I have all the latest drivers and crysis works fine on normal settings. Currently playing settings at high on the screen rez of 1280 x 800....my notebook screen rez only goes up to 1280 x 800 :(

I find I gain about 5-10 more frames playing it overclocked....

Notice that's an artificially inflated score as he is unable to run 3dmark at the proper resolution of 1280x1024...

Still a perfectly good score though.

Crysis is VERY picky with clocks. Clocks that are stable with other games can make crysis crash. As I've found out. 570/850/1425 crashed about an hour in for me so running 560/800/1400 but haven't tested higher to see if it was just a stability issue which I believe it was as my temps where somewhere around 86 degrees. Crysis always runs the GPU hot. After I reapply TP with the better stuff I plan to try to clock it higher. Prob 600/900/1500

I've never seen an M860TU with the WXGA (1280x800) screen and a 9800M GT. Who did you purchase this from, and in what country?

You could get that from here in Norway. 1 USD is about 7 NKR if you are interested in prices =)

EDIT: They recently added the X9100 processor. How hot do that get in the M860? Just wondering since its 44W.

Hmm, your prices don't seem to average out so well against the Euro or the US dollar. Do you find that to be true?

Thanks for the link though, and I'm noticing that the resellers in European countries seem to be listing the GTX 260M as available for the M860TU before North American resellers. C'mon Americans, get it in gear.

We live in Norway. Everything is expensive. Multicom.no have monopoly on the Clevo notebooks. Well, not really, but they are the only reseller who have Clevo notebooks in Norway, so they can charge what they want.

I checked the currency, and its 6.999 NKR for a Dollar.
