Anyone already played the demo on the d901c?
If yes, with what resolution, graphics settings, CPU and Video Card?
What was your average FPS and drivers?

ya think you would get decent fps with two 7950GTX, but some people with 8800GTX SLI don't even get decent frames. kinda sux...
-
its all about drivers.
many with a single 7950GTX is running the game well at High settings -
I have 2 go7900gs cards. Any hint on which drivers to use?
-
i have a 2.66 with 4gb and dual 8700 on 64vista ...
it wont play ate full screen but, even with the beta drivers from sager website I was able to play fairly well with medium and some settings on high .... which impressed me because the driver are not that good .... hopefully nvidia releases some good drivers for dual 8700 go !!
have a good week !! -
willfred: You running Vista 32, Vista 64, or XP?
SLI is not working for me with 4GB RAM and Vista 64 with the 8700's. Have you performed a test using 3DMark06 to verify your score is > 8000? If it's in the 5000's then you are not running SLI either.
-
im using vista 64 and the driver from sager website ....
when I use 3dmark it goes 7800
which makes me believe that I have sli but the drivers are sooo new thatr is not so good ....
i just wonder when will they release a new driver for vista 64 and sli 8xxx series !!
lets see and wait !
note : i had to format my notebook because I changed drivers so much nothing was working anymore ... now crysis wont work either ... beats me ! -
You people are starting making nervous about my decision to change from a Go 7950 GTX to the 8700M GT.
7800 points is way too low. I used to get 9000+ with my 7950 GTX and an E6700 on XP and about 8800 on Vista. What is yout CPU mate? Justin posted some pictures showing the 8700M GT with 3DMarks around 8500, I wonder what drivers he was using.

Hmmmm... I'm beginning to wonder if I have a hardware problem. I get driver "stops responding" errors and my SLI performance is non-existent. The nVidia control panel states that SLI is enabled but the performance is clearly for a single GPU (5000+ in 3DMark06). Also one GPU temp doesn't increase when gaming (that should be evidence enough).
-
i relate my problem mainly to driver .... i have a 2.66 dual core
the driver for vista 64biys is very new sooo ..... the score made by justin was on 2gb ram on vista 32bits which has more stable driver ..... i hopte to reach 8500 on 06 with improved drivers !! -
Back again to this topic. I don't know still if I'll buy Crysis or not. It all depends if my system can run it on high settings at a decent resolution (min 1280x1200).
What I have is in my signature. Can people please share results and settings? How was the game installed? Would you buy it again? If you have both COD4 Crysis in genre which is best for you?

I have one 7950gtx.
with tweaked config files to get the best out of it, at 1280x1200 (custom res) and tweaked medium I get 40 fps walking around and 20-25 in battles (believe me, the difference between a heated firefight and just walking around is big, the amount of stuff that breaks and falls apart at high phys is amazing.)
it's eh, can't wait for the new patch that is confermed to increase FPS, and new drivers, it's all on nvidia's end, poor ATI users. -
Crysis is NOT optimized for SLI either atm. In some tests it is giving a -5% decrease in graphics. There will be patch soon that will help dual and quad core owners as well. It's amazing they didn't put these fixes in before lauch but.....
The one thing I hate about the game is the stupid AI. It has the worst AI I've seen since my commodore64 days. Cloak/shoot, shoot near enemy they go look at where the bullets hit. Too many of them on you, throw a grenade and they all run, even if they aren't near it. Then they all run to where the grenade went off to look at the hole in the ground. Very stupid. -
I've been seeing really mixed performance for it in all the forums. People with identicle setups are getting different results altogether - it may be a drivers issue, but some of it seems too sporadic in difference.
