Hello,
So I got my NP9150 with a 7970M back in June 2012 when the 7970Ms first came out. Since then, I've neglected updating any sort of drivers for my laptop, fearing I might have issues with the updating. However, I've decided after several months, I really need to go ahead and do it. Problem is, after searching around I haven't seemed to find a consistent answer with not only what version I should update to, but how to go about it (I've seen several methods online). I'm not even certain what I need to update: does updating Catalyst update the actual GPU drivers too?
Can any 7970M owners (or other computer savvy people) offer any advice as to what version to update to and how they did it? I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Any 13.2+ we've heard good things about. Updating CCC will not also update the drivers.

I have 13.12, the last official driver released (13.12) and everything works right on my Clevo 150em (i7 3630qm+7970m)
I got around 7000 pts in 3dmark11.

I think I'll try 13.12 for Catalyst then. As for the actual installation process, should I use AMD's Clean Uninstall Utility to remove all the old drivers? Is the program good for this, or should I just uninstall them myself and then run some other driver cleaner?
As a final question, where exactly are the updated drivers for the 7970M? When I head over to AMD's site I can only find Catalyst and the Driver Verification Tool.
Thanks again for the help. -
You can dowmload the new driver through driver verification tool.
I start unistalling previous driver, then in safe mode I use driver sweeper to delete anything that continues installed.
Finally, to finish, I install the new driver.
Those are the steps I follow and It works well.
I hope you to enyoy the performance improve.

The clean installation is a good option, but if you run into problems, don't use Driver Sweeper. Try this guide instead for a thorough removal: how to properly uninstall ATI/AMD Software Drivers for Graphics Cards.

WOW, only 40 steps, looks simply
I´ve always do what I said, and I´ve never had any problems, in fact, It´s working perfectly raight now.
From my point of view, my way is simplier.
As I said, I get around 7000 pts in 3dmark11 (without any oc) and can play max payne 3 (max settings in full-hd) with 50 stable fps.
However, I made a mistake, the program I use isn´t driver sweeper, It´s Driver fusion, sorry.
