Has anyone replaced the keyboards on their Clevos? The biggest gripe I hear from reviewers is the keyboard and speakers, and I was just wondering if there's any better keyboards that can replace the standard one and take care of the bounciness and layout issues. Also, is there a driver to easily remap the keys? I can't do without PG UP/DN and HOME/END being easily accessible...

Thanks, trying to customize the crap outta my clevo...

Well re-mapping keys can be easily done in software. On Windows it's just a registry tweak (or can also be achieved using some 3rd party software which just tweaks the registries for you). If you're using linux there are probably a million ways to do it.

I wouldn't change the keys other than if they had a backlit replacement. That was what I thought this post was going to be about before opening it haha.

I have a HHKB Pro keyboard, really compact and the keyboard is brilliant.

I always carry around it with me, and it is like the GOD of keyboards, I can't type on the rubber dome keyboard anymore..

I suggest that if you're really into good keyboards, get a topre or cherry red / brown for maximum enjoyment.

It's nice that the keyboard works well for you...but having an external keyboard beats the point of a laptop for me :(

I just want a flawless laptop, why is that so hard :(
