Hi i read this forum for a long time...
    I m waiting for a D901c with x6800, 2x9800 gtx sli, 4 go ddr2 667, 250go 7200. I have some questions about it:
Is vista 64 a good os ? I m a huge gamer of course, what about red alert 3, dead space,... in vista 64 ?
What about noise compared to a 570TU, because this last is very loud in game, i can barely hear sounds of a game with this one when i play. In the reviews D901c seems surprisely quiet. Is it true?

XP64 has better game performance and compatibility, and it does work just fine on the D901C, despite what Clevo/Sager may say.

Aim for Dual Booting ! I have a D901C unbranded with 9800m GT SLI and q9550.
I use XP only when needed, like for AoC coz with Vista the game is unplayable. Use also Xp if you want a good 3d mark06 score (XP : 15000 average VISTA 64: 13500 average).

Otherwise i spend my whole notebook life under VISTA 64, its much more beautiful, allows directx 10 (farcry2 ;p) and all the games seems to run good.

yeah its quiet, tho you can hear the fans if you turn them on at max when you're in a quiet room. if you're gaming and blasting the fans at max, with audio, you shouldn't be able to hear them at all.

As stated previously, fans are only noticable when set to max in a quiet room. While gaming, not noticed.

As for games, I have played Crysis, Assassin's Creed, Unreal Tournement 3, all the Half Life series, Stalker: Clear Skies and currently playing Warhammer Online and Fallout 3 with no problems what-so-ever. I have installed Far Cry 2, but have fired it up yet, all on Vista premium 64 bit.

Having a dual boot system is nice (that was the setup I had on my last laptop) but is not necessary in my opinion. Save your hard drive space for more games!
