    D870P USB and 7-in-1 card reader issue

    Hi,I have a Sager/Clevo D870P and just reinstalled xp and for some reason all 3 USB ports and the 7n1 card reader are not working..I have tried disabling the USB funtion 1&2&3 in bios setup b4 install and then enabling it after and still doesnt work any help would be great THX!

    Welcome to the NBR forums. :)

    were they working before the reinstall?

    if yes, then make sure:
    - you have Service Pack 2 or 3
    - uninstall the USB Root Hub in the Device Manager and restart

    Yes they worked b4 I reinstalled and I have done what u suggested a couple of times..still nothn..any other ideas???..I wouldnt mind if I didnt game on the thing but I need a mouse to game... :(

    try to see if the USB ports work in Safe Mode.
