    Hi,

    I need a little help.

I recently bought one of these machines, and its great! however...

When i hook up the HDMI cable to my reciever, i can see the display on my big tv, however I get no sound.
I am using windows 7. Not sure if that is the issue or not, but i downloaded the latest Realtek HD drivers and when i look in the sound properties I have two options t output the sound.
    1 is to the speakers.
2 is to a digital device, I think this is where it is supposed to say HDMI, but the only option I get is SPDIF.

and sure I can hook up a cable to SPDIF and one to HDMI or DVI. But i really want all sound and video going through the same cable, and if watching a blu-ray i won't get HD sound on spdif.

Anyone know why i can't see the HDMI option?

Are you using the latest video drivers from the nVidia site?
In fact, I just checked and they released a new version today for W7 - ver 190.62

On Nvidia site I get 186.81 whql for the 200M notebook GPUs selecting Win7 x64.
The 190.62 whql are for the 200 desktop GPUs selecting Win7 x64.
Are you using the 190.62 on the laptop?

same here. I was thinking perhaps, is there a cable inside that may not be hooked up, as I get video ofver HDMI, just no sound. And no option for sound.
