Are there any owners of d900c/np9260 with possible acess to a dual-link monitor like the 30incher (2560x1600) displays to test out if the DVI port of the clevo is actually dual-link or not...
Thanks

Look at the pictures. If you see two DVI ports, then it is.

You can have a single DVI-port to support Dual-Link.
* DVI-D (digital only)
* DVI-A (analog only)
* DVI-I (digital & analog)
The only notebooks that is confirmed to have Dual-Link DVI are:
- Apple MacBook Pro
- HP Compaq 8510p
- Clevo M570RU (Sager 5790) -
My 9260's DVI port looks like the DVI-D(Dual Link) just by looking at the back. How can I test it Gophn? My HDTV doesn't go too high and my desktop LCD is old and cheap

I believe that the Clevo D900C/D901C is not Dual-Link.
- Supports 2048x1536 external monitor resolution (resolution can not be higher than laptop)
... meaning (in real world use) that it tops out at 1920x1200 (WUXGA) or 1920x1080 (HDTV) -
The quote refers to both analog signal carries by both the vga and dvi port on the laptop...
Single-link dvi has the maximum bandwidwidth of 1920x1200@60Hz (with a little extra MHz left)
Almost all female dvi ports on most monitors will look like the DL-DVI (DVI-D)port but the 6 additional pins will not be connected in non-dual-link monitors...
Almost all female dvi ports on most graphic card will have holes for DL-DVI and the additional 4 analog signals (DVI-I)...
so the only way to be sure would be to test on a 2560x1600@60Hz DL-DVI monitor or a specific written statement from the manufacturer...
p.s. The Eurocom clevo d900c derivative is advert.. as DL-DVI capable... but still no first hand comsumer experience just to be sure....
