Hi Guys,
I was using TuneUp Utilities '10 and it identified 3 unidentified devices in my device manager, 2x Base System Devices and 1x IDE Controller?
See Below:

Anyone know what these are?
Thanks in advance,

was wondering if you have installed the D900F card reader drivers ???
on my D900F if I dont install the card reader drivers ...
those un-identified devices will appear ...
-
i cant even find that page on tune up 2010
the ide is a 32 pin (i think) that connects to your hard drive but it being called a controller i have no idea. -

Thats what i thought but it uses Serial ATA rather than Parallel ATA (IDE),
In TuneUp '10 if you goto start centre and then its in Fix Problems:
Thanks -
What OS are you running?

Tis' Windows 7 Pro x64, it appeared after i uninstalled MagicISO?
Its really strange that a program could add something to DevMgr,
The Base System Devices have been there since Win7 install anyway... -
It's not really strange that an app could add a device - "devices" in the device manager are just logical constructs and can just as easily represent pure software as well as some physical object.
I googled on ACT6RM24 and didn't find a da*ned thing, which is neither here nor there, but does mean that it's something that's not widespread. It's possible that that represents the driver that MagicISO may have installed in order to mount and run virtual CDs (i.e., to make it possible to mount an ISO image as if it were really a physical CD in a real CD-drive).
Can you get into the "properties" dialogue for that device? If so, try uninstalling the driver from there and then restarting the system to see what happens (if it's related to something else that's on the computer, Windows should flag it, try to install the driver automatically, and should ask you about doing so; if it really was related to MagicISO, then I would think that it should just go away).
The other "base system devices" could be anything, and if they've been there all along, might represent some sort of a bug in the firmware that originally came with the system. If so, the fix for that might be as simple as checking the Clevo site to make sure you've got all of your drivers and firmware up-to-date. -

Problem solved!
For the BSD's anyway, the IDE controller i un-installed but has reappeared with a different name:
-
Hmmm. Googling on that new controller name still doesn't pull anything up.
