Will this CPU work now, or do we have to wait for a bios update from Clevo before we can use this CPU?

It is too early to say, but it seems very similar to the 920.

The 930 is a direct plug - in replacement and is available now! But, it may take time to trickle down the chain. Note: I had to edit this because I momentarily got confused between the Mobile I7 chips I was addressing in another thread. My bo - bo if you saw the original.

you will need to wait for new bios with the microcode added in for the 930... i dont believe its supported as is. honestly if you already have the 920, id save your money and spend it elsewhere. like an ssd or something.

No, I don't. I am deciding between the D900F, Sony F series, or the new Fujitsu tablet with the 620M.

quite a wide range of differing specs there my friend. the d900f is definitely the odd beastly variable out of the bunch. i you need insane cpu power then the battle tank d900f is great! just so you are aware it does weigh upwards of 12 lbs

Yeah, this is going to be my portable music studio. And living here in Japan, the Sony is about the only way to get a Core i7, and everything is so expensive, there actually isn't such a huge price difference between the Sony and the Clevo.

well the sony has a i7 mobile with different chipset and processor... the d900f is basically a desktop i7 1366 x58 smashed into a laptop... in regards to cpu power i would say the d900f smashes the sony to bits especially for a music workstation.
