This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    power consumption at the wall:

    Off (not charging): 0.6W
    Idle (Desktop): 78W

    optimized app (SETI@Home AK v8b x64 SSE4.1)
    2 threads: 115W ... +GPU (CUDA): 160W
    4 threads: 146W ... +GPU (CUDA): 190W

    standard app (ANSYS 12.1)
    4 threads: 125W
