I've just had my D900F for a week or two, but I've noticed that there is a low pitched humming sound, (like you sometimes hear from overhead fluorescent lights, or amplifiers), that's coming from the laptop itself, it's not a sound coming from the power brick, which others have reported in the D900F owner's lounge thread, like this post. It's coming from the laptop itself. When I unplug the power brick, the sound continues, and it will only stop when I shut the laptop down.

It seems to happen continuously while the laptop is on, and the sound doesn't change in pitch or tempo in relationship to the amount of work the laptop is doing. If I start doing some computing work, like compiling programs, I hear the fans kick on, and then off when the load subsides, but the throbbing continues throughout. It's definitely not a sound associated with the fans. This the i7-975 D900F, with 3 7200rpm HDDs installed. Has anyone else heard these kinds of sounds coming from their D900F?

    Thanks..
