I have a D900K, about four and half years old. Recently having problems with the screen freezing up. Happens roughly twice a day. I went to Win7 about a month ago and have been having problems with the screen locking up. Doesn't respond to anything but a hard reboot.

I think it's is a software or driver issue, but if I fail to find the culprit, I will no doubt be swapping out the ram, and/or drives, due to it's age. My question:

Does anyone know if it could be upgraded to support more than 2 gigs of ram? I am assuming the newest bios supports something larger than 2 gigs? Also, how large of drive would I be able to put in this? Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure about the rest but if running W7 or even Vista, I believe 3 gigs of ram is recommended (though neither will be able to use more than 3.2 gigs unless you go for either windows 7 or vista 64 bit versions).

I don't know if this has anything to do with your screen freezing though.

As mentioned in original post, I am running Win7. I was running the Win7 Beta for about 6 months prior to actually buying it and never had a problem. Of course, I opted for 64bit rather than the 32bit version I had been using.
