About a year ago I bought this D900T from a pawnshop, basically bare-bones and have upgraded it since. Single IDE 5200 RPM 60gb drive to 2 Sata 300 7400 RPM 80gb drives in RAID0, 3.4ghz P4 to 3.8ghz p4, 512mb ram to 4gb ram (only 2.75 usable), from a Nvidia 6800 (that fried) to a Nvidia 7950GTX and installed a wireless N adapter and tv tuner.
One problem has always plagued me (other then Clevo never releasing a bios to make it duo core capable) the fn + F2 combination that turns the fans on full speed has never worked. I've replaced the keyboard since the old one only had like 4 working keys and both fn and F2 work but not in combination. I've noticed that when I have a really high cpu usage, the fn + F1 combination for the screaming speakers won't work until cpu usage drops.
As a little extra info; I have the mobo revision 6.3, the "latest" bios by Clevo and have formatted the hard drives several times. I have XP Pro 32bit and the laptop is technically an Alienware M7700, but as everyone know is actually a D900T under a shiney case.

The KB shortcut for fans is Fn + 1 not F1 just 1
Unless its different in the D900T to most other Clevo ODM stuff?
Hope i could help -
Yeah, I just tried all numbers and it didn't work. People say that the shortcut for the D900T is fn + F2 for fans but so far it hasn't worked

Did you try flashing with the latest BIOS?
-
You dont need to flash the main bios, your problem is related to an older keyboard BIOS. You probably have keyboard BIOS 1.00.03
You will need 1.00.04 or 1.00.05.
I do not have a copy of the keyboard BIOS, but Gophn does.
Send him message and he will help you out with it.
DO NOT flash the main bios, these machines are very picky, so dont do it. Just flash the keyboard one if you are having issues.
and yes it is FN+F2

Sorry for the late reply. It makes sense that it could be the keyboard bios since I've never updated that. I contacted Gophn about an update, hopefully he hasn't blocked me for asking him so much about my D900T.

I just upgraded my KBC bios and that was the problem.

Great, I am glad it worked. I thought it was that
