My jack in the back of the computer is broke...had to keep moving the power cord...got harder to keep connection...took to Circuit City and had resoldered and now it just charges the battery, but doesn't provide enough power for it to stay on...) so I'm looking for the piece to completely replace the DC jack in the back or see how much a replacement board would be...thanks

Its the Alienware 7700 FYI...yes I know...wrong forum sorta, but its this brand MB...

i would contact a Clevo reseller near you to see if that can repair that for you.

Read the Clevo Guide for the info.

I would recommend to contact these folks first (because they are not just reseller, but also distributors of Clevo's):

I don't know if you'll find the jack itself as a separately available part. Maybe if you take a part number to Radio Shack or something. Rjtech.com sells parts for the D900T.
