    hello everyone

as usual i have the d900k (soon to be d900f)
trying to get the ocz vertex turbo ssds to work with the d900k
    however it is always undetectable.
but putting the drive inthe m550se (from what i recall)
    it works and runs fine

i would assume the raid controller is the issue, as it even says so under this links. but both computers have the same VT8237A (however the d900k is older)
    (please note Talic is me)

http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=347779 (shows older mobos of the d900k cant read the sata3 cards)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_ATA (shows VT8237A controller having the sata3 problem)
http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=66530 (my link asking the ocz members for help)

does anyone have a solution, or the ability to modify the bios/raid controller?
all specs are on the ocz link.

The D900K with Pre Motherboard Version 5.1 supports only Sata 150 drives.
If you had motherboard version 5.1 or 5.2, you wouldnt have these problems.
I know of the problems you are having, because I have done the same. You will need to flash the firmware of your drive into SATA 150 mode.

I have used SATA 150 SSD's in my D900K, and they did work. Must have been the M-TRON 6000 mobi or something like that. My X-25M was not recognized.
You will need to flash the firmware using the software provided by the manufacturer to set the drive to SATA 150 mode.

Good luck, and hopefully this doesnt brick your drive.
