    1. Does the Raid controller use an independent processor/chipset (i.e. traditional 3ware / adaptec/ etc cards)? I remember reading about how integrated raid solutions without independent processors/chipsets have a higher chance of failing during hardware problems / OS crashing etc. Can anyone verify this?

The idea is to use RAID 1 for data integrity / redundancy, however if the RAID implementation is not rock solid, I would prefer no RAID and just setup batch copies to the 2nd drive periodically.

    2.

How do we add WiMax support later? Would this be a user upgrade, just swapping our the current Intel Wireless card?

    3.

I see in other posts the D901C will now officially support dual / quad penryn. When will this be ready approx. ?

Which Quad core penryn's are supported ? Q9450, Q9550? There was some old posts speculating the Q9650 required too much power and would not be compatible.

BTW , aside from system failure, should there be any safety concerns of triggering a rare laptop explosion (lol!) when running these extreme dekstop replacements (geforce, penryn quad core, 2x7200 rpm drives + raid, etc) ?

    Thanks!

    1. I believe that tit is not a real RAID, but emulated by the software. In fact in the BIOS the option appear with the name Fake RAID.
    2. There is one guy on the forum, 'dexgo', who added his own wireless device.
    2. Officially there is no support from Clevo or Sager for the 45 nm proc. I saw on the internet a few companies that offer the 45 nm procs as option, but I do not know how reliable it is.

In US http://microexpress.net/, in europe kobaltcomputers.co.uk, deviltech.de, mycizmo.com or pcw.fr sell the D901C with the 45 nm procs.
