Hi,
I have a D901C, and I have confirmed that it has a DVI-D Dual Link connection, acording to the pinout (A 3*8 Grid of holes to the right, and a single, long, thin hole to the left, with no holes above or below).
I'm looking at buying a monitor with a 2560x1600 native res for my main PC, but would ideally like to connect it to the laptop as well. I had heard that the max resolution for external displays may be limited by the max resolution of the built in display, is this true?
Can anyone confirm, or offer information about the D901C's supporting an external monitor at 2560x1600?

external display resolution has nothing to do with the internal panel resolution

Assuming you have at least an 8800M GTX, I've taken this from Nvidia's 8800m GTX tech specs page:
"Dual-link DVI outputs for digital flat panel display resolutions up to 2560x1600"
See for yourself: http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_8800m_tech_specs.html -
I'm running my Sager 9262 with a HP LP3065 (30") monitor at 2560x1600 resolution. No issues.
