Hello everyone.
So the thing is that my screen started to act very strange some months ago, some screen flickering or static rain, i do not know what to call it exactly so here is a little sample of what happens http://hotfile.com/dl/9962192/a6fdd38/screen_flckering.avi.html
I then opened the bottom bay (the one that gets you acess to the vents) and just shaked the wires i saw a little bit and closed it up again....and guess what...it worked for some months...until...now is happening all again, and happening more regulary than ever.
In the sample video you can check that when i move the screen the filicker disappears and works good for some time...but once in a while it pops up with that same flickering, sometimes on all of the screen other times on partial zones.
I have seen people talking about a filicker some of these machines do, but those flickers happen in the boot, now this one only happens inside windows, if the screen is flickering and i reboot the machine, while it's booting nothing happens, once it gets to windows i see the flickery thing once again.
Does anyone have any idea of what it might be?
Edited here -> Ohh and btw my graphic card is the 8800MGTX

That is what i already done since the first time it happens as i said.

Do it again? This time unplug and plug the connector. This is something that happened on my P-7811FX, and managed to fix it the same way you did.

Opened it up unplugged the cables and plugged them back again, so far so good, hope it lasts without flickering :S
Many thanks on those replys -
Some weeks after reseating the GPU the screen started to flicker again, so i went to the reseller while the warranty is still valid.
The reseller was aware of the problem since other d901c users had the same problem.
The problem affects mostly when you have a dark screen (i use solid black for the desktop background).
While i waited at the store i kind of see what he did, he took off the keyboard and some metal board beneath it, then reconnected and re-adjusted the cable connectors position and used some tape for them not to misplace.
So far the screen is working with no problem at all
I just posted because it could be helpful for other users with the same problem. -
Re-seating the screen cable is quite common, it can also be damage to the screen cable in the displays hinges, which necessitates a new cable.

The damn flickering started again :S i guess i should better replace the cable, for now it's still in warranty and i will go to the seller for the replacement.
Altought it looks like the problem can be presistent and it might happen again with the new cable (after some usage time), anyone know the prices and the cable models for this machine? -

The cable will depend on the LCD Panel you have. There are several manufacturers of LCD's so you need the correct cable for that manufacturer. It will have a model number on it. This will ensure you get the correct one!
The cost would be about $60.00.
Thanks -
Damn that is expensive, many thanks on the info thought
