    Recently got my new D901C with 9800GT SLI + Q9550 +4GB RAM

after installing Crysis, I tried to play the game at 1920 x 1200 with high settings and AA disabled,
but seems it is not running smoothly...
I reduced to medium setting with 2xAA it run very well....

I wonder if my configuration of my notebook is powerful enough to run the game is High setting with 2xAA enabled? Or I have to set something within my system to optimise my machine?

    Thanks

make sure Crysis is fully up to date... because SLI was not supported [in Crysis] until the 1.2 patch I believe.

It's been awhile since I have played it on my lappy, but if I remember correctly, I set everything high to start with then dropped shadows and something else to medium. My lappy is not me with at work right now or else I could tell you the exact settings.

PM Magnus72 for an awesome config, which will run smooth and look like Very High.

I'm running everything set to Very High with the Ultra High Mod 1.3. Granted, I"m running at a low resolution, but it is absolutely beautiful. I'm not sure why, but I just can't stand how it looks at 1680x1050. Its too sharp and shows too many flaws I think. At 1024x600, even though there is interpolation, the game is beautiful, smooth, and I become quite engrossed in the visuals. I'm getting 30-35fps average with patch 1.2 installed and the quality mod. And thats with a single 9800M GTX and a 2.53ghz dual core, 4GB DDR3. If your running a good desktop CPU and SLi of at least the 8800M GTX, I'd recommend the following:

    All Very High except:
Motion blur set to medium or off.
Objects set to Medium. Its really hard to tell the difference from Medium to Very High.

No AA at all. By default, edge AA is enabled and running even if you set AA to off, so your still getting some AA either way. At that resolution, it sucks your processing power out the window.

Try running at 1280 or 1440 resolution. Its a bit lower than native, but in my opinion, running a game at native resolutions when processing power is limited is way overrated. I'm also fine getting 25-30fps in a game. So long as it maintains a minimum of 25. Keep in mind films are recorded and projected at 23.95fps!

    He doesn't need to.
I posted pics before, this is how Crysis looks at 1920x1200, with a custom very high config, 25+fps.

    This is cool....
I wonder how should I set my computer/display card to achieve this result (or similar)

    THANKS!

As I said, PM Magnus72 from the forum here, and he'll send you the config.
Any 8800MGTX SLI system can do that without ANY OCing.
