    Hi everyone,

I am about to buy a replacement LCD for my D901C and I'm a bit confused with the parts name...

    The D901C LCD is a LP171W02-A4K1(GT/IPS) WSXGA+

So, what is the the difference between the LP171W02-A4K1(GT/IPS) and LP171W02-A4K3, LP171W02(A4), LP171W02-A3(G)

    Thanks... :)

    You should get a WUXGA.
Its a crime to have a lower than 1080p display in this laptop.

    I had a WUXGA in my M1730, it's a great LCD but I think 1920x1200 is a bit too much for a 17'' screen

the lp171w02 will be the same looking screens (unless one was a ips panel and the other was a tn but i am told that the panel you listed is nto a ips panel from my sources but the said they cant be 100% but its very doubtfull its actually a ips panel they said most likely a tn panel) from what screentek told me (a good friend of mine)

you can also use the lp171wu3 panel as well as a few other samsung and sharp's

the lp171w01 is supposed to be 160nits brightness where the LP171WE2 is suppose to be 300 nits and you can use that one as well. the lp171we2 is a wsxga panel also. the auo b170pw01 would also work but i hear they are very dim.

if you need other manufactures lmk i can get you a sammy and sharp number.
