I got my laptop yesterday. these are my scores with the stock drivers:

    3DMark06 Score 10611

    SM 2.0 Score 4304
    SM 3.0 Score 4145
    CPU Score 4359

wprime: not available yet (website is down till tuesday).

GPU-Z reports GPU clock and default clock. Does this mean that the video card is running downclocked?

I think the video driver is 167.40.

How bad are these scores? Is my video card downclocked all the time or just in idle?

You could always update your driver. Seems pretty old IMO.

Those SM2/3 scores are normal so your GPU clock is OK. I'm surprised that driver worked so well for you because it downclocked my machine. For reference, here's what I got with one 8800 and 174.82:

My Crysis benchmark scores at 1920x1200 high quality:

    TimeDemo Run 1 Finished.
Play Time: 104.91s, Average FPS: 19.06
Min FPS: 13.97 at frame 151, Max FPS: 21.99 at frame 1013
    Average Tri/Sec: -17567498, Tri/Frame: -921510
    Recorded/Played Tris ratio: -0.99

    My 3DMark06 scores:

    3DMark Score 9840 3DMarks
    SM 2.0 Score 4374
    SM 3.0 Score 4196
    CPU Score 2694

I've tried 167.46, 174.20, 174.31, and 174.82. They all worked fine for me. Benchmarks were virtually the same for all, and all rendered well.

I just tried the driver from sager 174.82. It gave the same result.

Off topic. The laptop is not able to restart. It shuts down but it does no start again it stops in a black screen. It is not an OS problem because it does the same whne I get into BIOS or restart from DOS. Does anyone know a fix for this problem?

The restart problem is a bug related to the bios used for the new Q9450's etc. It happens on some 901's but not all. It will be fixed with the next bios release due very shortly.

It shipped with Vista if I remember correctly, have you partitioned and installed XP?

This bug is not affecting the normal functioning so I can live with it for a while. First time I restarted I got worried that something was broken and I would have to ship it back.
I played around with Vista for a day and than I took it down. It was not worth it to have it for more time. Also, many of my programs that I have with license from work were not working. I appologize for asking for Vista. This was my first time and I was dissapointed. Maybe in a year or so after it gets more mature and I get extra ram I will have for time.

Most definitely a max 1.5 h under regular use and about 40-45 min of gaming.

So, in the perspective view of battery life, there is no difference between 65 nm and 45 nm Q-CPU in d901c??

Not really since the combined consumption of the other components pretty much render the gain negligeable.
However the 45nm would definitely help by generating less heat.

I did not test the battery yet, but the few times I took out the power source it was drainig rather fast, 1.5 h seems a good estimate when using XP and doing nothing.

I did a wprime test with 4 threads also on XP.

    32M gave 16 s
    1024 M gave 450s

Comparing wih Neil results for the same configuration as mine, but on Vista, I get a difference of appproximatley 40 %. I know that XP should perform better, but I did not expect more than 10-20 %. What am I missing here?

I love my laptop. I am running now XP more smooth than any computer I had tried before. I am also keeping Vista on aanother partition.I am going to slowly make the transition from XP to Vista. Overall opinion about the system is 5 on a 1-5 scale. :notworthy:
