Yeah the title kind of explains it all but just for the scoop, i woke up this morning and TADA! there's no light coming out from the PSU, there is also no detection of current flowing into the unit or the PSU at all!

i need some help troubleshooting this thing. thanks :)

contact your vendor, they should send you another PSU.

then you send the bad one back.

If it's really urgent, you should be able to pick up a 180W laptop adapter by Targus/Kensington and so on. Note however, that there isn't guarantee that the head will fit though.
Something like this should work. If possible, go down to Challenger or something and ask if you could test it.

well.. the original one produces about 280W, so i'm afriad this might not do... i'm not sure exactly how much power it uses and i wouldn't want it to shut down due to lack of power going into the com..

but anyway, thanks for the suggestion.. i'm still waiting and hoping they reply me ASAP... if its too costly to ship this current one back and pay for a new one's shipment here, then i guess i'll just buy another one.. whichever's cheaper.. gosh. guess i gotta take leave the next few days then. ;)

I will be back in SG in about a week's time, however, any adapter I order for the D901C won't get in time to me.
I grabbed a used model with E8300, 8800M GTX SLI, 320GB 5400 RPM, 4GB, WUXGA if nothing goes wrong.

At any rate, I would suggest you check out PC Dreams at SLS, I believe they have some spares for Clevo models, as they bring in laptops from Sager for local buyers.

hmm PC Dreams at SLS? nvr heard of them before. anyhow, i'll check them out this weekend. my reseller has replied to me and we're discussing via email now.. however, i think shipping both ways is still gonna be somewhat costly if i'm not wrong.we'll see how it goes anyways.

Thanks alot for your replies and your help. Really appreciate it. :)

Oh and welcome back to Sg, a week in advance :)

What model is your PSU, Li Shin 0405B20220? If so, its a 22W PSU. If you open the PSU , on the side that the wall power plugs into there is a protection fuse. Check the fuse and replace may possibly get your PSU working again.

on the bottom you will see the 4 rubber feet. remove the rubber feet with a knife or a sharp point edge. Underneath those feet are the screws to separate the PSU case. If you do need a replacement, check ebay.
But email the seller first and verify that the unit being sold is an actual Li Shin 0405B20220 model. Some times they post that model number but they actually send you a 220W Lite On model, which may work for you but does not for me because the Lite On model is only 100V input and where I am at I need 100-240V input. Learn from my mistakes :)

Well then i don't think mine is the Lite On model cos it used to work. Just suddenly stopped working.. Where i am, its about 230-240V..

and.. how do i check if the fuse's blown?
