What are your idle temps and when do your fans kick on? My temps went all the way up to 60c before they kicked on and cooled it back down, just not used to that since my 5793 would never go past 45c before the fans blasted on. Also I'm so happy this laptop runs so very very quiet.

My idle temperature for CPU never goes above 50C, but this is because I run max fans pretty much constantly (because it's summer and I also clean the fans on a weekly basis). The GPU temperature does not idle above 40C, but I have PowerMizer enabled to downclock the GPU when I'm just browsing/not gaming. Hard drive temperatures do not go above 45C idle. The stock 80GB drive runs quite warm (43C idle), but the WD Scorpio 320GB runs cold, and idles around 33-35C.

fans will start up around 60c after a cold boot and will remain on until shut down.

I experienced this with my 5760. At 50c the fans would kick on, and then stay on until reboot. I liked this personally, as them cutting on and off all the time would get annoying, and the fans noise becomes psychologically invisible after awhile. Also, I would think for people who leave their computers on all the time, this is a good thing for the bearings and the motor, as the state is more constant for the device.

That seems to be the case with mine also, just updated my drivers and now powermizer is working, the stock drivers didn't have a powermizer option for some reason. >.> I'm really surprised how light the laptop is, I have no problem using it on my lap.

A 192x1200 would be an interesting LCD panel.

O_O' mrblur your cpu temps seem high, after a mild undervolt and running orthos for a hour my cpu temps never went over 61c. I noticed while gaming, the system doesn't seem to want to increase fan speed on its own. Temps went up to 72c before I noticed and then forced the fans on.

I always turn the fans on max (if not max already) before launching a game. It's a good habit to get into.

    Hi bwhxeon
How did you undervolt the CPU?With NHC/Rmclock?

Did you undervolt the GPU too?If so could you share the BIOS?I troed but couldn't find the sweet spot of voltages.

once again, sry if that temps misled anyone. *goes to edit previous post*

I used Rmclock to undervolt, haven't done any undervolting to the gpu and I won't because the clevo/sager units seem to have a problem with volt changes, at least my 5793 did. Others also had problems with lowering the voltage and having stability problems. >.> Since it runs so cool I don't see a need for it right now.

    I hope I don't have something wrong...

CPU core temperatures are 58-61 during idle.
Gaming they go up to like 68....

I keep fans on max, and also have the NC2000.

GPU they idle at 43-50. Am looking for a good program to measure temps in-game (compatible with SLi and Vista x64)

GPUZ works pretty well for monitoring GPU temps in or out of games. Here is a link to it.

You can use Rivatuner to measure in game temps.

I tried sometihing with rmclock. Now the voltage on the proc is 1.150 V. I am not sure what was before. I can not go below 1.150. What is the default voltage of the q9450?
