This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    D910C -- blu ray overkill?

    Did anyone choose the Blu Ray drive for the D901C?

    I'm toying with the idea... it costs 200 Euros...

    Do you think it is overkill? I think I could always change the drive later...

    Another thing -- would low latency RAM CL4 make a real difference in performance?

    I'd consider dropping the blu ray and opting for low latency ram and TV Tuner. (I can't afford to have it all! :eek: )

    I'd go with the RAM and the tuner now, and swap out for the blu-ray drive later on.
