    AMD Catalyst 12.x (9.001 September 4) Unofficial - Guru3D.com Forums

Apparently they work really great with 7970M users so I think it's safe from my point of view to install it, people say that it stopped the 3D clock fluctuation and other enduro-related bugs, and it raised a little the min fps in some games (dirt 3).

Let's not forget, it's a beta and it's not optimized for performance, that means that you'll not really have more fps then you used to but you'll have less bugs that's a given ;).

I'd like to remind that amd is actually optimizing the performance for their upcoming enduro driver due in october.

I installed it, no BSOD, great performance, no more fps drops in BF3 I don't know about performance but it's slightly smoother then 12.8.

everyone should install it so we can know for sure the benefits of enduro 5.5.

    Cheers.

Hi guys, New member here but been reading for a while about the problems with 7970m. I am looking at getting a 17" clevo laptop for gaming an I either want to get dual 7970 or a single 680. I will be placing the order next week and the only thing stopping me getting the dual 7970 is the Enduro problems. So keep the good work up an keep updating your findings :)
    Many Thanks

You might want to know that the dual 7970 doesn't have enduro thus you don't need to wait to buy it.

these drivers improve utilization in Batman AC a little bit, but Crysis 2 seems worse.

7970M crossfire looks like a beast when properly optimized:

AMD Radeon HD 7970M Crossfire - Notebookcheck.net Tech

Beats 590 gtx and maxes BF3 with 68 fps.

those been out for a while and they don't fix Enduro. These are not the 12.9 beta that AMD said will be released this week.

Also these do not support mobile. You have install over your old install. The ones coming this week will have native mobile support so you don't have to use the workaround we've been using now.

    TL/DR ignore these drivers.
