Not sure about those models. You should double check the compatibility of vBIOS first.

The answer yes for the MSI, as long as you have the latest bios etc etc you will be fine. As for the Dell one, I am unsure. It wont be a simple plug and play process, however it will work nonetheless.

Also you will need a new GPU heatsink, as the 6990m heatsink is not compatible with any Nvidia MXM GPU

I beg to differ good sir.

The Nvidia GT 130M I pulled out of my Acer laptop fits perfectly in my P170HM. P170's use the same heatsink as a P150. Temps are great and the GPU die is pressing firmly against the copper. That would suggest that it might fit some other Nvidia cards also.

GT 130M? Isn't that a MXM A card. As in, it's half height?

Isnt the GT 130M an Nvidia card? So Im a tad bit confused as to what you are trying to say.

Nevermind, if what you are trying to say is that you have the 6990m heatsink and it is compatible without modifications than ok, as I do not have personal experience with the clevo 6990m heatsink.

Ahah, I just noticed the error in my post. Sorry

Yeah, the Heatsink I am using is from my old 6990m which was shipped with the unit so it is technically a "6990m heatsink". The 130m fits into it nicely
