I have a Sager Sager NP5320 -V which I purchased in Nov 2005. It has been working fine until yesterday morning when I turned it on and absolutely nothing is happening. The blue power light goes on and I hear the CD ROM drive make a few noises, but that is it. No fans, no screen, no hard drive, no sounds. Geek squad at Best Buy said it is definitely the mother board and that I should just go and buy a new laptop because it will cost about $900 to fix this one since I dont have a warranty on it. Any suggestions??? HELP!!

remove your battery and try to turn it on with just the AC power.

And do not listen to Geek Squad idiots.... they are so inexperienced in computers its sad... they just get a lame A+ Certification and think they know stuff.

You can also try removing each piece of hardware to see if it will boot up...

Try reseating your memory and make sure all of the connections are made properly..

The Geek Squad people are pathetic.... Don't ever go to them...

Ya I agree with steponz, try pullin' hardware, one piece at a time, ya Geek Squad does suck....I can vouch for this, I use to work for "the boys in blue" and half the time most the people in there dont have a clue to what there selling to the customer, but in some defense there are guys who are really good, just very very few and FAR in between...
