SO Apparently liquid metal was the death of my laptop (thanks local it people) Sager says its $942+ $60 in Labor + Shipping to fix... At that cost it may be better to just buy a new unit so I have been window shopping.

My P670 Has all 4 Ram dimms occupied (4X8) and two 2.5mm hdds plus one M.2 occupied, I would like for all of that storage to be transferable. I noticed the newer uglier Sagers have single 2.5 slot and thats not good! I would also like a 1070 non Max-Q and ESS Sabre if possible and stick to 17.3 inch...

I fell in love with the PA71HS-G but single 2.5 slot is killing it for me! My end goal is under $1800 for a fully de-configured unit (NO HDDs, no RAM/Min Ram) with a 7820HK/1070 (8G) I love the TM/TM1 series but those chunky monkeys wont fit in my backpack.

How much storage do you need? What size are your existing drives?

You need to do some space management, my son. :)

I got the PA71HS-G, aka PowerSpec 1710, and I added a 2nd M.2 500GB drive, and invested in a Seagate USB3 6TB drive. This way when I'm at home, I can dock and hookup the external HDD and offload what I don't immediately need.
