Hey guys, I'm debating buying the Sager NP3245. It has the specifications I'm looking for, but I can't seem to find any reviews or opinions on it. Has someone had a chance to test it out? What are your overall opinions on it?

    Thanks!

You're likely the first person to ask about this particular system. Most of the folks around here who buy Sager/Clevo are gamers/tinkerers/enthusiasts who want machines with the most powerful hardware. Speaking about the brand in general, they're solid, well-built, and well-supported, both by the resellers and community. The NP3245 is nice because you have the option of using M.2 and 2.5-inch SATA for storage. This and the RAM should also be fairly easy to swap out by the end user, which is another nice thing about Sager/Clevo relative to other ultrabooks that continue to go for thinness, sacrificing upgradability and I/O in the process.

If the NP3245 meets your needs, by all means, go ahead and order one. Most resellers have at least a 14-day return policy and are pretty good about technical support should the need arise. Good luck.

It's not popular among the enthusiast/gaming crowd; there won't be a lot of scuttlebutt about it. But it is a good little system. Battery life, ease of access (components), weight, and portability are all good, and although the i7 in it is a low voltage chip, it performs well and doesn't run hot.

It's all about what you actually need a system to do :) I like the look of it.
