I'm getting ready to order my NP9150 and I'm debating on the wireless card. I don't really feel I need bluetooth as I had it on my last laptop and never used it. Yet, is the 3 antenna Killer 1103 card really that much better then the 3 antenna Intel 6300? I've heard of some reliability issues with the Killer yet also some good results of speed and range. Any thoughts? Cheers.

I've used Intel 6300 on my ASUS G73JW and on this new P150EM I've been using the N1103 for full 2 months. And what's found to be better than the Intel 6300 on this N1103 is that:

    1. The N1103 comes with a bandwidth control tool.
    2. Lower ping than Intel 6300 in games when downloading in the background.
    3. Better UDP management.
    4. N1103 crashed twice. But Intel 6300 crashed at least 10 times during this 2 months usage when the UDP connection is aggressively being established while using P2P transfering software.

For gaming the 1103 is better because of the software it comes with. Other then that you'll see get the same range and max transfer speeds.

I appreciate the responses, is the software that comes with it fairly easy to use/straight forward and work well?

It's pretty easy, for the first time it lauches it should ask you to test the connection speed, and it'll then use that speed as a reference. You can then scale the speed for each program if you want to lower any of them. Like if you don't want a specific program to use too much bandwidth on uploading or downloading, you can shrink it down just by moving the bar.

Haven't really used the Killer software at all. Everything has been working great though.

Tom's Hardware has shown that the 1103 is a superior card overall.

+1 to the 1103. I'm not a fan of the software, (You can do anything in that software with a decent router) but the hardware has proven to be the best.

The support from the Killer team is great as well.

No bluetooth and some reviews I've read indicate that there isn't much tangible difference, I personally got the Intel 6235 after reasonable research. I'll try to find those reviews.
