Ok so maybe this was answered, maybe Its too obvious, but I cant find info so im asking all my sager/clevo brothers out there....can you use this card in a clevo/sager x7200? i mean...jesus it looks just like one from clevo, but that of course dont mean anything. I have 2 X 460M gtx cards now, and I want to upgrade to 2 X 580M gtx cards. only cards I ever find for sale are the dell branded ones for m18x, m17x and m15x. I wonder if maybe its a matter of a bios upgrade or whatnot? has anyone done an upgrade in my system with these cards in sli? any info would be awesome. Thanks all!

You will want to stick to clevo/sager cards to avoid issues.

It's do-able with a Clevo vBIOS but can be hit or miss, and it is still recommended to stick with a Clevo card. There is more room for potential instability with using another OEM's card.

A single 680M would offer a similar experience.

Ebay, the members market here, these parts are not retail so it comes down to what you can find.

i got the card. picked up one on ebay that came from a clevo P370EM. I also bought a heatsink for a gtx 580m from RJ tech. I have 2 X 460M gtx heatsinks. Im told the 460 heatsinks wont do it. Am I correct? What info Im looking for now is that and will I need to worry about any special procedure? Do I need a certain bios for the card? Will I just be able to pop it in my X7200, and away I go with new drivers? Will I be ok with the sager bios that allows 580M gtx cards or will I need something special?

Thats what Im looking for. Someone who has done it once or twice that can give me some base line data on what to expect.
