I upgraded my hdd from 200G 7200 to 320G 7200 in january. When I bought the new drive, I thought, do I really need G force protection? I am very careful with my laptops and have never dropped one. I bought the new HDD with G force protection as it was actually about the same price as without and a few weeks after I swapped it in, my parents dog got caught up in the power cord and pulled my baby off the table :(

The dog almost got throttled, but amazingly there was no damage at all (except a scuf mark on the rear left trim, and the NC2000 it was on got a usb port broken)

Shows how sturdy these things really are :)
