I didn't config. my system with TV tuner since i have a USB tv tuner already, but there is a tv cable input on the right side of my np5793. Did I just get a free TV tuner?![]()
-
prob not there is the input on all of them but it does not work unless the card is installed
-
couldn't hurt to try it out!
-
thanks for clear it up guys. anyway what is the best program to watch tv?
-
We all get that. but no card unless you buy it
-
Nirvana, I actually think the Media Center is great for TV. Didn't your tuner come with some software? Hauppauge's WinTV is pretty good and what I used in the past.
-
Media center is pretty ok. A little better; Chris TV pro. I've tried a lot of different software. So far Chris Tv is the one with the best zoom and recording.
-
Hauppauge is what i have, but i just wondering is there's something better
-
Hauppauge is the standard nowadays.
-
If you have WinXP, try BeyondTV. There's a free demo on their site. It won't on Vista, so I've been using Media Center.

The_Observer 9262 is the best:)
I have heard of a software called chris tv(or smthng similar) when I had to use desktop as a TV.It was a rather good program.
But with the 5760,I used MCE. -
I might pick up a Hauppauge USB TV Tuner myself instead of carrying a clunky 13 inch CRT for my dorm. The mac version works quite well on my friends Macbook
-
they get so hot tho, just wanna give you a head up
-
no you don't have a TV tuner.
You'll need to buy one, i would probably recommend the AverMedia express cards. -
-
But it is not trip friendly.
Did I get a free tv tuner?
