Or is it the same windows key on the keyboard they used on windows 7 machines?

If it's sold with a Windows 8, it probably will have the updated Win8 key.

Mine was shipped in September (the first lot that got CPU upgraded to i7-3630QM I guess), before Windows 8 was released in October, and it came with Windows 8 logo key.

Do you think there's a way we can order the keycap?

Can I ask why? Just curious as to why this is an issue.

It's not an issue. Just a customization. If it costs a buck I might order one. If it costs 10 I won't.

 Not sure what you mean. Just wanna say that my Sager came with "Windows 8 logo" keyboard and I think any NP9150 purchased in September or later should all have the new keyboard.

My reseller was LPC-Digital so yes it came directly from Sager... I didn't say anything about the OS though.

Sounds to me Sager was just future proofing the keyboards for when Win8 was released.

So all new Sager Np9130/Np9150 with preinstalled Windows 8 have the updated windows 8 keycap?

No, you don't have to order Windows. I ordered mine with No OS option.

So basically what you are saying is regardless if you don't get an OS or you get win 7 or win 8, it will still come with the old windows 7 keycap instead of the newer updated win 8 keycap?

What kong was saying that not matter what option you choose for an OS it will come with the new Wind8 key.

IIRC clevo dont offer any spare keys so it would be an entire keyboard replacement.

This was just a phase in by Clevo, in September (remember how long it takes sometimes to get stuff over the pond especially by boat). So you can totally end up with a windows 8 laptop with a windows 7 keycap or vise versa while they transition. It doesn't really matter if you get an OS or not, its just a rolling manufacturing change (They do those all the time)

Yes, one of those specs covered in their subject to change at any time with no notice clause.

They even changed the location on the key as well? That's a very noticeable difference.

There are actually 2 changes, they changed just the keycap (not the location) and THEN they are now introducing the moved key. So yea there are two changes at once'ish here.

I got a new keyboard after I RMA'd the old one. New one has the Windows 8 logo, on the left & the the FN key near the arrow keys.

Ha not worth the replacement issues. Mine still works fine so no real need to replace the whole thing.

Is it possible to just swap the fn and window key myself?

It is very easy to do this. I actually ended up swapping my function key and the window key. You just have to be very careful prying off the keycap. And making sure you assemble the key and the button correctly before putting it back on
