I guess there is no perfect laptop. Can anybody confirm my suspicions:

NP5796: can run DDR3, has fingerprint reader, can only take one HDD, can only run one GPU

NP9262: can only run DDR2, does not have fingerprint reader, can take up to three HDDs, can run GPUs in SLi

I am looking for a laptop that can take DDR3, can take at least two HDDs, is GPU 'upgradeable', running SLi is nice but not essential, and has latest tech like fingerprint reader. Will any Sager/Clevo notebook handle this? I suppose the $$$ NP9262 will do except it will only run DDR2 and have no fingerprint reader.

Does the Asus G70G-A2 have a proprietary motherboard that will take up to 6 GB DDR3 ram (3 ram slots)?

Read This and then tell me if you still think DDR3 is still worth it. By the way, the DDR3 that the NP5796 uses is DDR3 1066, not 1333.

Also Montevina only supports up to DDR3 1066 so you couldnt upgrade the ram anyway.

Trust me SLI is far more fun than a fingerprint reader ;)

go for the OCZ? it doesn't run SLi but it runs crossfire. almost the same thing, just cheaper.

some call it whitebook.. others like K|N calls it Nagamaki.. worth checking that out :)
