I've noticed that xoticpc stocks these two different models, and was wondering what's different about them, other than the fact that the S1 cost more but starts off with a few upgrades, and that the Blu-ray upgrade is cheaper.

8150 / P150HM and 8150-S1 / P150HM-S1 are the same notebook. The S1 is simply a discounted configuration. Configure the 8150 / P150HM to the base specs on the S1 and compare the prices.

The 8150-S1 or any other S1 configuration for that matter is an upgraded basic configuration for the model at a moderately discounted price compared to if you had configured the regular base model to the same specs. It is a marketing tool from Sager is available from most resellers. It is also very confusing to people new to buying Sager, and few websites do a good job of intuitively pointing out the difference.
