9130 is plastic finish and no backlit keyboard.

9150 is a rubberized finish and has a backlit keyboard.

The 9130 comes with a 120W power supply while the 9150 comes with a 180W supply, although those are interchangeable.

9150 goes with I-core 3-rd Gen. 9130 may go with both 2nd gen and 3-rd gen

They both support 2nd and 3rd gen - sandy and ivy bridge cpus. Main difference was stated above, otherwise its pretty much the same laptop.

Does anyone know whether Plastic or Rubberized finish is better? I found that the rubber sorta tears just after a year so how does the plastic feel? Is it durable and not worn out as easily?

I didn't say that one of them doesn't support because any laptop which supports 3-rd gen also supports 2-nd.

What I said is that starting price of building laptop is much cheaper on 9130 because of cheaper starting CPU.

That isn't attributed to second vs third gen processor. That difference is attributed to a quad core processor vs a dual core.
