As the title says, do Clevo P series machines accept GCN FirePros? I'm thinking about getting a M6100 for a P150SM.

I've never seen Sager offer a FirePro card so there probably isnt BIOS support for one.

Hutsady is probably right. Most of the time, Clevos are limited in their upgradeability by the BIOS. Not even some Nvidia cards can work with the older models without some modifications.

Since I don't believe clevo/sager versions of the firepro are made that would mean that the only ones would be from other brands which wont work properly with the EC and the system will simply shut down after a few seconds.

There are no Clevo Quadros neither. They are NV reference cards. (Which is why they are relatively expensive.)

Quadro cards are so expensive because nvidia charges way more for them ;)

I was talking about the so-called Clevo Quadros being more expensive than OEM Quadros for Dell, HP, etc.

The reference cards can usually push a bit higher.

There were quadros in the past; I know for a fact my old D900F had the option to pick up a $5000 quadro GPU instead of my 280M at the time.

You can get them from clevo I believe, obviously a more niche option.

Are you sure Clevo also makes its own Quadros? All the resellers I have talked with told me Clevo doesn't and the Quadros they sell are from Nvidia's OEM.

It's possible since we work with sager not clevo. But even if clevo did do them directly I doubt they would be any cheaper.
