I have a HUGE PROBLEM. Ok so 2 days ago I get my Sager NP7280, and it works fine, etc. Then I wake up this morning and I hear some weird noise as I plug my 300W supply adaptor into the back of the laptop. This was while i was turning it on, and then it turned off..... and on.... and off... over and over and over. I called SAGER literally 100 times or more, and no one has picked up. Even sent RMA's (many) for tech requests and even one return request in my anger.
DO NOT GET THIS LAPTOP. SAGER HAS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
ON ANOTHER NOTE, CAN ANYONE HELP ME.
Edit: Customer service aside... do you people realize that this new 2k plus laptop messed up and does not turn on the 3rd day of use??!!

dont forget its christmas holidays until tomorrow unless america doesnt have today as a bank holiday like the uk.
give them a chance and they will get back to you. -
"Most" of the US is off today for holiday. I don't even go back till the 9th. I am sure they will get back to you soon.
-
I think your over-reacting or doing something wrong. Sager had always gotten back to my direct emails, and if you call during business hours always answers the phone.....
-
Since "New Years Day" fell on a Sunday this year, as redman stated, most companies in the US are off today. I did not think that Sager was US based. Did the laptop power connector spark or have that electronic burning smell at all?
-
Could be wrong here but I think the have places in a few countries. One place being in CA.

They replied to my RMA request in 1 business day. I'm not sure about the request service website, but I was forwarded by my reseller to sager techsupport and they replied.
The boy who cried wolf...? I don't usually flood when I require help. -

Is this thread for real?
lol -
Yes, holiday week/weekend. Today is observed New Years Day. Things are CLOSED.

I dunno dude, I had major issues with my laptop, and in fact it was exchanged 2 times for two new laptops due to having screen defects and rattle sounds along with one of them no longer booting. After that I still had issues and guess what, my reseller pointed me to one of the execs at Sager.
From that point forward I was nothing but impressed. I am sure the other laptops just slipped through some quality things (as was around the time the ghosting started to be an issue) but I tell you what. That guy (Sager exec) sent me a new laptop, upgraded CPU, upgraded LCD warranty, extended my extended warranty, shipped it to me without any deposit, CC or nothing, and told me to take my time returning my old one. Now keep in mind I paid via eCheck for the first one so they had no assurance to get back the old one even, they simply trusted me, just as I did them.
So while yes problems do happen, Sager will indeed do what is needed to resolve the issue. If you purchased from a reseller be sure to keep them in the loop. If you are not happy still let the reseller know because they have pull to get attention to higher up people at Sager. They bring Sager a lot of money and business so Sager wants them and YOU happy.
That being said, like others have stated today is an observed holiday day.
Tomorrow will also be very busy for most places making up for the lost day so while yes it sucks, I know I have been in your shoes and went 3 weeks without a working laptop, in the end, they did right by me and beyond what they had to.
Be patient and most of all don't take it out on anyone you talk to. Not that persons fault, they are only trying to help. My only complaint talking to Sager was the accents, could not understand most of them ehe but the exec guy I dealt with via eMail so that was no issues. -
probably a lemon.

These overreaction doomsday threads are priceless.
I do hope your issues are sorted, but endorsing that everyone avoids the company is ridiculous. -
GandalftheWhite,
I realize you may be new, so please read up on forum etiquette and "cross-posting" in the forum rules
If this main thread is going to take precedence, this other post wasn't really necessary -

I have to admit that I was laughing when I finished reading the OP's post. This is an isolated incident, nothing more. Also, calling on public holidays, not getting a reply and using that to say that Sager's customer service sucks is way over the top. Wait a few days then call your vendor if you bought from one, else call Sager.

Thread should be closed, waste of space.
Things get broken, it happens, that's why there's warranties.
Saying to not buy a brand because your model got defective isn't the smartest idea, if we would follow this thinking there would be no company on planet earth.
They're probably slow because of holidays, even my supplier for Roofing material, main supplier in Canada is reopening tomorrow due to holidays. -
Sheesh, with a thread title like that I expected something serious, like someone found proof Sager was funding terrorists or something.
-
close this tread NAO! pls
-
I think mods should change title to "Sager closed on holidays" and then close the thread.
