This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Just wondering if any of the resellers here offer upgrades i.e. 8800 from 7950 when they become available at wholesale price? Do any offer trade in as well?

    Yes, when a new videocard comes along, most resellers will have an upgrade program

    ... usually they swap your videocard for the new one & charge you a fee for the difference.

    All resellers are different in doing this, so you must contact them when such an event [new videocard released] arises.
