While reading these threads for the past few months, I have came across a lot of posts that state xxxxxxx reseller is "cheaper". For example I just read a post that said Malibal was the cheapest. Though this could be true for the poster and their specific set up, its not true for everyone. I just bought from Xoticpc and the exact same setup with discounts would of cost me $47.xx more at Malibal. Moral of the story is: do your research, find what you want, and PM the resellers your interested in. All resellers are around the same price, you would be surprised to see who can offer that extra little discount. That's all.

Most dealers that sell Sager pricematch with each other. Malibal does not sell Sager so I do not know if they would match from say, PowerNotebooks or XoticPC.

All of the resellers match Sager pricing. Malibal stands out because they don't resell Sager, they buy the Clevos and manufacture them (like Sager does). Mythlogic and... umm.. shoot, sorry forgot the other one do the same, but Malibal is the only one I know that matches Sager's prices (which are generally the cheapest). I guess it comes down to if you want Clevo (laptop manufacturer) or Sager (laptop customizer) BIOS on your system... or something as simple as labeling. I wound up going with Xotic because I bugged Brett the most and he was patient enough to put Buddha to shame, but Malibal was amazingly responsive and easy to deal with as well. I was down to Xotic, Malibal, and LPC. I think the service from any of them are outstanding, I just happened to harass Xotic the most (and they have 24/7 tech support), so I went with them. The OP is right, do your own research, but essential powernotebooks, Xotic, Malibal, and LPC will all give you roughly the same price, and that price will be better than any other rig you could put together from someone else. They also all offer outstanding communication and support with the customer. Comes down to the flip of the coin, but I think you'll be happy with any of these outstanding companies.

Hi, while we do sometimes match promotions, our price match / price beat policy only applies to regular, advertised prices, which excludes promotions. This is outlined in our 100% Low Price Guarantee on our website.

Also, to Designopolis... our Low Price Policy applies to any company. :)

Makes sense. The point I was trying to make is that I don't see one reseller always beating the other, price wise. For the people looking into purchasing a "clevo" based laptop, don't just talk to one reseller....you never know who can offer you more for your money or less for the same machine. In these times its always nice to save.

The original claim is correct. Check for yourself. As much as XXX posted that "Malibal is cheaper" or XXY posted "Xotic is cheaper" or whatever - it depends on what you buy, and what promotions are available that day.

As has been posted many times before, PM the resellers to find out their best prices. If you take some post somebody made weeks ago about what they found back then as gospel, you get what you pay for.

We are normally cheaper but if by chance we are more on any Sager/Clevo system feel free to contact me or any of our other Sales Reps and we will meet or beat any competitors price. :)

There's certainly no harm in stating who you found to be cheaper during your research. Consider them testimonials that people doing their research can use to weigh their own findings.

My personal cheapest option was Reflex Notebook, because ordering merchandise into Canada is a messy operation that involves taking a trip through Hell (Customs). Without appropriate guarantee from retailers, US merch usually arrives at my door with a markup attached to it that the loan shark (mailman) uses to hold my product hostage. This markup is usually decided with the Wheel of Fortune and you better have exact change when they reveal it.
