It has been almost half years and still no update on BIOS and EC. Does that mean Clevo stop the support on X8100 series laptop?

The Clevo X8100 (Sager NP8120) is not in production any more.

Parts and support will be available for a while yet. The P180HM is the replacement for it. :)

I just got this laptop this year(SEP). And I don't like 2nd i7 cpus cause they have tech that could black all the "pirate" software", the clock stage on 2nd i7 are also kind worse then first gen. The only ups I could found is the memory upgrade is more then first gen.

I was hoping Clevo could have Ver of Bios,EC to supports both ATI 6970,6990 or Nvidia 500 series, is that too much to asking?

I don't know much about the x8100 does it contain an H67 motherboard? IIRC, the "intel Insider" or "vpro" stuff on 2nd Gen. Sandy Bridge (w/ kill switch or DRM) won't work without an accompanying motherboard..

The x8100 or Sager NP8120 has the Intel PM55 Chipset. :)

Does your company have laptop for trade or selling refurbish/open box model?
cause we have another 2 old laptops.

    Back to main question.

Is their an way to install newer ATI driver that without follow their procedure? Because my bios can not detect my ati card, The ATI driver won't able install it.
