I was wondering this because they drop ship from Sager, if I recall.
Also, does anyone know if UPS will slyly add brokerage fees even if I use the express shipping? (IIRC, express shipping includes brokerage fees). Also, is Sager's thermal pasting good? I'm afraid that the people will apply too much paste. Is it just better to order from XoticPC?
If I am correct, ordering from XoticPC, I'm just paying for a higher shipping fee, and the 13% tax for Ontario. Lastly, how much better are the copper heat pipes from XoticPC? Temps wise, and heft.

Hi Project Oblivion, congrats on your first post!

You do have to pay Brokerage fees is you use UPS ground regardless of where you order it from since its a fee UPS charges. As you mentioned use UPS Express and they will not charge additional brokerage fees.
The thermal paste should be applied properly The only way to know for sure its how you want is to apply new once you get it. Temps for CPU/GPU are checked before the computer ships so a bad paste job would show itself then.
For taxes you pay that at the time of delivery, UPS will collect for it.
The Copper coolling upgrade does help if you want the lowest temps possible.

I purchased my np9150 from Reflex.

whatever price you see at checkout is what you pay. No more fees added on top or later on. You could think of the slightly higher prices already taking account of the fees.

Free ground shipping with tracking # and ETA.

Don't be too shy about ordering from the states, though. Some companies will ship to you by DHL or USPS (Both who don't charge the crazy UPS/FedEx fees), and you can often get a more customized product. Mythlogic and XoticPC are both good for this.

Then all you have to pay at your door is the 5% tax that you're paying via Reflex anyway.

Only 5% tax? I live in Ontario and we have 13% tax. So, I'll have to pay 13% tax on top of the shipping fee. if I order from America?

Wow, there are reps here too?
Cool. I'm really opting to go for XoticPC, it seems like you guys take care of everything there. I'm just scared of UPS and the crazy fees they charge. I ordered a 700$ laptop from the states, it costed 300$ more in fees from UPS.

That's good to know, thank you!

UPS is really a bad choice. I would go for any other customs broker except them.

Yup we try to help out here :)

UPS will charge brokerage fees if you use UPS ground, but if you use UPS Express or Expedited then they do not charge additional brokerage fees, but the shipping will cost more.

You will have to pay taxes at the time of delivery regardless of the shipping method you select. You do not pay any when you place the order, you only pay the price of the computer and shipping charges up front. Everything else you pay at the time of delivery.
