    No probably not, 4.5A output isn't going to do it. The stock 120w adapter is 6.3A and even that's cutting it close.

    Do you have any other ideas on what external battery could work to increase the Sager np8690 battery life?

    I'm using an Asus 150W adapter that my reseller recommended. Has worked well.

    The 180W adapter for the new 8850 is also compatible. I ordered one of those, but replaced it with the Asus because of production delays.

    A number of forum members use the Targus 180W adapter (with multiple tips for different configurations, one of which is the 5.5/2.5 used by Clevo).
