It depends on if the person you bought it from included them with the machine. It would be best if you open it up and verify yourself. :) (by default they are included)

I installed my second HD underneath the battery. It was a little tricky to do (I have big hands, and my friend with skinny hands was not available). Keep at it and you will get it. Be sure to refer to the D901c manual/PDF for reference before removing any screws.

I ordered two HD's and the build included one mounted under the battery (main HD) and one in the main hard drive cage (secondary.) All the stuff was there. :)

Had to move the main HD out from the battery compartment as it was hitting 50 degrees C in 22 to 25 degrees C ambient air, max for most laptop hd's is 55 degrees C. The temp dropped around 6 degrees C right away after the move.

I would suggest you get some temp monitoring software so you can keep an eye on the HD temp for the one under the battery. ;)
