    Does a NP8150 need a SSD spacer when using a 7mm SSD in the main HD slot (Sata III)? I ask because the Samsung EVO is cheaper in the drive "only" model compared to the model with the spacer. Thanks

    We dont have one here so I can physically inspect but I think you'll be OK without one.

    You might want to support below it with a piece of foam or similar.

    Thanks guys. I'll forgo the EVO and get an M500 or Seagate 600 that come with the spacer and is cheaper.

    If it's the same price they do come with higher endurance nand too.
