    Hi Experts,

I have a problem with the videosignal on my 75 hz fullhd gsynch LP173WF4-SPF1 screen.

Sometimes these strange things happen indepentendly:

The screen flickers ,horizontal lines appear ,it goes black ,after few seconds i get permanent vertical yellowish lines .No problems on an external monitor though.

The lines are visible at the startup even if only bios is loading .I assume no windows related software problems there.

The screen stays black after the logoscreen "style notebook" and only if i plug an external monitor ,it switches to normal on the laptop screen.

The screen flickers two times with a pause between when i close and reopen the laptop lid.

After a "qualified" repair from my reseller (i will make a own thread soon with my experience so far)the problem is the same .They suggest I should reinstall windows ,it might be software problem .Because allegedly they tested it with a new screen and lcd cable. And i did a fresh install, the problem is the same again and again.

Can it be the inverter ? Does the p775dm3-g 75 hz screen have one? And if yes ,where is it and how can i change it on my own?

    Thanks in advance

Inverters are used in cold cathode backlit displays to generate the high voltage they need. LED backlit displays (pretty much all machines in the last few years) do not need this high voltage so do not need inverters. The drivers are therefore on the motherboard.

Display issues are usually panel/cable related now.

Replacements can go bad. Can you email them photo documentation, and/or video of the issue, and get a second RMA?

İ did this with a video documentation.i drove for the second rma again 100 km to the company. They replaced the mainboard with the newer revision 3.1,the graphic card and the cable they say .everything on the same day.

At home i had freezes and shutdowns at biosmenu or at the startup .Windows gives this error" whea_ uncorrectable error"laptop is now for the third rma at their repair center.İs it just bad luck?

    Maybe... Can't rule out coincidence.

Usually freezing and auto shutdowns in the BIOS menu have to do with a faulty BIOS chip. Was the board tested before they handed the computer back to you? And do you know if the board was new, or was it a repurposed/repaired one?

Hopefully they have a parts and labor guarantee.

    Hi,

My Laptop is back. They changed the motherboard once again with an another 3.1 version. What is the difference,i don't know .But bios is 1.06.02.Gsynch doesn't work once again :)

I have the bios version 1.06.04 here. But can somebody provide me with the latest one ?!

1.06.11 and ec 1.06.06 if i remember correctly.

Or should i give 1.06.04 a try like last time.It went well with the old motherboard version 2.1.
