    I am curious about the 8970M that released earlier this month. If anyone has one in his or her laptop, how is the card's functionality? Has Enduro been changed in any way?

    I am trying to get ahold of one to test in my X7200 and D900F but I aint paying 200-300 over retail which most are asking

    Havent seen any on the street yet, but do have some available on certain brands as pre orders. Hopefully see them in a couple weeks.

    It's only a 7970M rebrand with a bit higher clocks, I wouldn't expect too much of it :)

    Yeah, I wouldn't be too bothered specifically trying to seek one out.

    The MSI w/ A10 APU and 8970m has just launched, if you're that interested.

    id still be curious to know what kinda oc potential the 8970m has. could very well be that these more current chips can take higher clocks due to slightly improved manufacturing process :)

    I think the bigger fix falls to the software + drivers more than the hardware. But in either case, the consensus won't be in until it's in larger circulation among consumers.
