Hello. I'm looking around for a new Laptop, and specifically I've been doing some research on Eurocom (I live in Canada so they'd be one of my best options). I'm trying to find more information on their EUROCOM SKY MX5 R2 and EUROCOM SKY M5 R2 in particular, and I was wondering if anyone had one of those (The new models with the 1000 graphics cards). Also, if anyone has any specific information on their build quality and especially their battery life it'd be really, really welcome!

    Hi

These Eurocom models use the Clevo manufactured P650R* chassis, here is the official owners thread for this chassis on notebookreview: http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...sager-np8153-s-np8152-s-owners-lounge.795090/ with lots of information and feedback from owners.

There a review in German on the fitst page of the ablve thread, also you can look on the English language version of notebookcheck for very comprehensive testing e.g. :

    http://www.notebookcheck.net/Euroco...ng-laptop-with-GeForce-GTX-1070.180547.0.html

You're looking at 4h 50m maximum (panel on minimum brightness, system running at idle), 4h 30m WiFi surfing and 2h on max load.

Yes we base ours on the same chassis too :)

That optimus switch is a nice advantage over others going pure dGPU. The battery life stays very usable.

Do both laptops come with an optimus switch? Or is it just the 1060 one?

What Meaker said. You can do it from the BIOS or in Windows (the latter requires a restart).

So does the BIOS one IIRC but it does not take long to restart from the BIOS :)
